Pricing structure
Scribe is billed to the organization, after the fact, on a monthly cycle. Enabling Scribe or creating a Project doesn't charge anything by itself. This page explains how the bill is built. For rates, contact us.
What a bill is made of
Pricing is per Project, not per organization. Each Project is billed separately, so two Projects each running the same workflow are charged for it twice.
| Component | What it's for | How it's counted |
|---|---|---|
| Base workflow | The first workflow enabled on a Project | Once per Project, monthly |
| Additional workflows | Every further workflow enabled on the same Project | Once per extra workflow, per Project, monthly |
| Document processing | Each document Scribe processes in a run | Per standard document |
| Large document pricing | Documents above the page threshold, such as long batch records | Per page instead of per document |
Base and additional workflows
The base charge attaches to whichever workflow you enable first on a Project. It isn't tied to a particular workflow. Every workflow you enable after that on the same Project is an additional workflow, billed at the additional rate.
Workflows are enabled by an organization Owner under Manage > Scribe. See Getting started.
Document processing
Each document a run processes is counted as work in the month it completes. A standard-length document is charged per document, regardless of how many pages it has under the threshold.
Large document pricing
Documents longer than the page threshold are charged per page rather than per document, since their processing cost grows with length. A run is placed in one tier or the other when it completes, and a later change to the threshold never reclassifies runs that already finished.
Word documents don't store a reliable page count, so for those sources the page count used for tiering is an estimate rather than an exact figure.
What stays the same
- Pricing doesn't depend on how many people on the Project use Scribe.
- The organization's card on file is charged automatically each month. Owners can see payment details and billing history from the Billing tab.
