Reports

A report is a longer, structured write-up of your shortlist: an executive summary, a side-by-side checklist, a profile of each candidate with strengths and concerns, and a recommendation.

Generate a report

  1. Get a recommendation in a conversation (see Using Match).
  2. Click Generate a full report, or just ask: Write a full report on these three.
  3. Match queues the report and shows its status. It keeps generating even if you navigate away from the conversation.

Reports cover up to 10 companies. They use your quota like any other turn.

Report statuses

StatusMeaning
Generating report…Match is drafting. A partial draft appears as Refining draft… while it's being checked.
Cancelling… / CancelledYou pressed Cancel while it was running.
Report readyFinished and checked.
Report ready (needs review)Finished, but Match couldn't fully resolve its own review in the allowed number of passes. Read it closely before relying on it.
Report failedGeneration failed. Ask again to start a new one.

Behind the scenes, Match drafts the narrative and then reviews it against the source data, revising until the draft holds up or the pass limit is reached. When the limit is hit, you get the best attempt flagged for review rather than a draft presented as clean.

What's in a report

  • Title and executive summary.
  • Comparison Checklist — a table across all candidates covering the capabilities that matter for your program, certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, cGMP), FDA registration by facility, compliance (inspections, compliance actions, FDA 483s), and review ratings. The best value in a comparable row is highlighted.
  • Candidate profiles — each with an overall score out of 100, a background, strengths (check marks), and concerns (crosses).
  • Recommendation.
