Getting started with Match

Match lives in the PharmFindr Console. This page covers what you need, where to find Match, and how to start your first conversation.

What you need

  • A PharmFindr account (sign in from the console; it sends you to pharmfindr.com to log in if you're signed out).
  • Match access — one of:

Without either, Match opens but shows No quota available instead of letting you send a message.

Personal vs. organization workspace

The console has two kinds of workspace, and Match works in both:

  • Personal — your own conversations, reports, and quota, billed to your personal plan.
  • Organization — conversations and reports shared with the organization's workspace, drawing on the quota your admin has set for you.

Use the workspace switcher in the header (it shows Personal or your organization's name) to move between them. Then pick Match in the left sidebar.

note

Conversations and reports belong to the workspace they were created in. A conversation started in your Personal workspace won't appear in an organization's Match list, and vice versa.

Start your first conversation

  1. Open Match from the sidebar. You'll see Start a new Match conversation.
  2. Pick a model with the model selector next to the message box (see below).
  3. Describe your sourcing requirements in the message box — molecule type, dosage form, volume, geography. For example: Small-molecule oral solid, Phase 2, US-based, need sterile injectable capability.
  4. Press send. Match may ask clarifying questions before it recommends anyone — answer in the same box.

While Match works you'll see a live activity feed of what it's doing (looking up companies, comparing them). Press Stop at any time to end a turn early.

Choosing a model

The model selector lists every model available to the current workspace, with the provider and a relative cost tier. Models your organization connected itself carry an Org Managed badge (see AI Providers in Match for organizations).

Switching models mid-conversation is fine. Your quota is one shared pool, so a cheaper model simply uses less of it per message than a more expensive one.

Managing conversations

The left panel lists your conversations, newest first, plus a Reports button (see Reports). Hover a conversation to Rename or Delete it — deleting can't be undone.

The quota bar

At the bottom of the left panel, the quota bar shows how much you have left:

  • Personal: one Weekly quota bar showing the percentage left.
  • Organization: one bar per limit that applies to you — This week and/or This month.

The bar turns amber below 30% and red below 15%. Click View usage for a breakdown by model (tokens in, tokens out, and requests) for today, this week, this month, or all time.

Details on how quota is calculated are in Billing and quota.
